Raj Lalwani
Founder & CEO / Newput Inc / USA
Raj Lalwani is an entrepreneur and product manager at heart. His interests include social and mobile, e-commerce, and growth hacking. Raj has an MS CS from IIT, Delhi (Gold Medal) and Penn State, and a certificate in databases from Stanford University.
His previous startup, Social Calendar, was a Facebook app with 16 million users. At its peak, Social Calendar was ranked #19 among all Facebook apps. Social Calendar was acquired by Walmart to become part of WalmartLabs in March 2012.
He is an author of three patents and a book. Raj is a movie buff – a big fan of both Hollywood and Bollywood movies.
Vipin Joshi
Director / Newput Infotech Pvt Ltd / India
An IIT Bombay Alumni (1968) and Ex-Vice President of Birla group, Mr. Joshi is an excellent administrator and delivery manager.
In last 46 years, he has served Aditya Birla group, Sapoorji Pallonji Mistry group, National Chemical Bahrain, and Rhodia Chemicals, almost at all levels. He has been instrumental in developing engineers and work ethics in the company.
His approach at Newput: Don't just develop engineers, develop leaders within them as well.
Awanish Tiwari
Vice President, Engineering
With an M.E. in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani, Awanish has 16 years of experience in software development, he was a key member of the team which developed Bitcovery, an iPhone app for social discovery of apps, games, and music; and Social Calendar, a Facebook app with 16 million users. At its peak, Social Calendar was ranked #19 among all Facebook apps. Social Calendar was acquired by Walmart to become part of @WalmartLabs in March 2012.
A hands-on developer, Awanish is primarily an architect of solutions for middleware and backend. An agile development enthusiast with interest in Big Data technologies, he has designed and developed apps which comprised of technologies like C++, J2EE, Python/Django, Flex2, PHP, Perl, Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, DB2, Oracle, Vertica and GreenPlum.
Satya Patidar
Vice President, Web UI
A hardcore programmer, Satya started with Newput in 2007 after graduating from School of Computer Science, Indore and is now leading the application development (front-end) in areas varying from Web development to iOS apps. His skillset includes deep expertise in RoR, JSP, PHP, MySQL, AngularJS, jQuery, HTML/CSS and hybrid app development using ionic and cordova frameworks. He also has hands-on experience with Facebook's ReactJS framework.
Satya's eagerness to learn new technologies and a natural inclination towards sticking to coding standards make him well-positioned to deliver quality software to clients.
A trekking enthusiast and lover of badminton & volleyball, Satya regularly dishes out witty one-liners which come from deep observation. His motto: under-promise, over-deliver.
Surendra Patidar
Vice President, Mobile App Development
Surendra leads our mobile application development effort. His understanding of cryptography and application security allows his clients designing products with confidence.
While striving for perfection, he never loses focus on the delivery. After his post graduation in Computer Science, SCS, Indore in 2012, he joined Newput as a fresh engineer and has now nurtured and developed a very critical and versatile mobility department under him.
He is well conversant with the leading mobile development technologies such as Android, iOS and React Native. He has a deep understanding of Blockchain-based apps.
Outside work, he loves playing ping-pong and volleyball. He also enjoys cooking and tries not to miss good movies.
Siya Patidar
Vice President, QA
Siya started with Newput in 2009 after graduating from School of Computer Science, Indore. With his eyes on the perfection of user experience, he leads the software quality testing efforts for Web, iOS and Android apps.
Siya has all the good qualities for a QA engineer and a product manager: attention to detail, effective communication, engineering knowledge, and the drive for results. He inspires the same in his team.
He loves playing volleyball and cooking food. His motto: See beyond the obvious and the devil is in details!
